EPW - Patek Philippe, Genève, 52mm, dial and case signed for retailer H. Wachhorst of Sacramento, California, mvt also marked "Special," heavy 18K gold original American made HC by Jeannot & Shiebler, gold cuvette, glazed observation cover over mvt, white enamel SS dial, fully capped lever escapement, 19J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#67648 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 88.0 dwt (136.9 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, mvt currently with 19J though possibly originally as 20J as center wheel has a brass bushing and may have originally been jeweled, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, spot to inner portion of crown wheel bridge, some fine and micro-fine scratches, balance jewel steelwork with some oxide; dial with fine to micro-fine scratch inside 4, minuscule pinpoint surface nick to upper right rim of seconds-register, some mild discoloration marks at perimeter under bezel; fine hands, oxide and finish loss to spade of minute; case shows very light wear, no dents or dings, good engine turning detail to central portion of front and rear, reduced engine turning detail to front and rear shoulders with area of full loss at lower right of front; tight bow thinned at top, crown has lost its jacket (outer layer) and brass core shows ample wear; good glass crystal.
